SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT: "West Texas Atlatl Cache" was written and published as the cover story in Texas Cache Volume 5 #2 in 1999 with reports of two atlatls found in a West Texas cave between 1991 and 1999 along with perishable relics and Paleoindian projectile points. Since then information has come to light that these two atlatls were actually found in Mexico, not Texas, and it is not clear if laws were followed or broken regarding these artifacts.
