Rainbow Ranch Rockshelter Excavation (1998)

"Rainbow Ranch" by guest author Robert Knight appeared in Texas Cache Volume 5 #1 in 1998. In the article, Knight describes taking his then twelve-year-old son Adam to an amateur archaeological dig led by Dr. Richard Michael Gramly on the Rainbow Ranch, south of Sheffield, Texas. They were joined by John "Swoose" Alexander, Les Kunkle, Bill Hallerin, Eric Anderson, Bill Kennedy, Dave Martens, and Lois and Don Eckler. The author describes their experience and the artifacts they found in a rockshelter and the surrounding area.
