Lake Belton Stacked Cache (2025)
On October 31, 1971, a cache of 11 bifacial blank chert blades stacked on a metate fragment and a nearby projectile point were recovered from the Old Aiken site in Western Bell County on Lake Belton by Wayne C. Young (deceased). This report is compiled from his description of the site and the artifacts in the cache.
