Texas Fluted Point Survey
Pictured, left: Clovis point from the Randy Robbins collection; right: Folsom point from the Choise Smith collection.
Do you have a Clovis or Folsom type fluted projectile point from Texas? Please consider taking part in this survey!
The Texas Fluted Point Survey is an ongoing effort to document the presence of CLOVIS and FOLSOM type Paleo-Indian projectile points and map their distribution throughout the state. Started in 1984, the survey is still going, and over 1,500 points have been documented so far. This is a great way for collectors and professional archaeologists to share valuable information that can help all of us learn about the earliest Texans!
